The Ugly Christmas Sweater

        We all have that one family member who wears "seasonal sweaters". Their bright with 3D festive designs popping out into your face. I think Christmas sweaters are more popular, in fact i even seen some with lights sowed into them. They're green, red, white, and scream HELP ME! After the holidays are over their is always that christmas sale and a big rack of left over sweaters. Guess whose still sporting those sweaters among future baby holiday sweaters? My grandmother and aunt. You better believe even Cupid and the Easter bunny become in style months down the road. I remember when i was little my grandmother would pull out those horrid sweaters during the holidays,and thats how i knew a holiday was coming up,but esp. Christmas.  What makes them so popular among the older generation? As a kid i remember getting them as gifts by who?- Grandma of course. I  would wear them for a while and then toss them off when i went outside. I admit sometimes they were pretty comfy but i couldn't imaging being caught dead in one. 

        Large, sparkly, loud, and bright and UGLY! You know what was even worse? Sometimes she would buy allot of them and wear them weekly from to day. My aunt would do the same, maybe less festive decor but still loud and bright. As a kid i remember being forced to wear things i didn't like and it sucked. Does anyone remember wearing those big ass puffy jackets? My sister and i had a pair each. They were white and purple with green flowers. I felt like a marshmallow, i used to cry when i was forced to wear it. I also hated wearing boy shorts and tights, but did i have a choice?-Nope. 

            Through the years children s clothes has become cutier then from when i was a child. I make jokes about how im going to find that cute top in my size in extra extra large haha. Festive sweaters on the other hand, that hasn't changed. Theirs a size for almost everybody for every holiday . Where a sweater with santa clause and the Easter bunny may lay, my aunt and grandma will be their! Will i get one? -You bet your bottom dollar i will! Just dont tell her it'll sit in my drawer for months t come. I  guess i cant really complain , wear what you want to wear even if everyone says its ugly. But remember, its what you think and not everyone else.Now who wants my pile of seasonal christmas sweaters?- Haha.
