WORRIED ABOUT THE FUTURE

Ruth Williams, a beautiful, imaginative and contemplative young woman, sat on her porch looking aimlessly around. She had so many questions on her mind that needed to be answered. She knew God had the answers and spoke to him in a desperate tone. She cried out, 'God, God, will I get the opportunity to further my studies? Will I become a doctor? Will I be rich and successful? Who will I marry? Will I have a big house and posh car? How many children will I have? What age will I live to be?' God fully aware of her anxiety about the future proclaimed,' my child, do not worry about anything, just the way I feed the birds in the air, I will feed you, Just the way I clothe the Lillie's in the valley, I will clothe you. Do not worry about your future. By worrying you can not add a hour to your life. Your future is in the palm of my hands. I know your coming and going. I know your uprising and down falling. I have good plans for you, not to harm you but give you a future and a hope, trust me!'
