A warm bath to suffocate reality
A cold shower to freeze time

As a little girl,

When my memory wanders

Simple comforts work best for me......

Even now , long after.
Thoughts about them , flit like shadows.
Memories like fluffy clouds...

So this is growing up
Counting tax returns instead of stars
Draining wallets, not crayon...

Hush now boy don't cry again
There's no more tears in you
Don't sing sad songs anymore...

the water turned red and blue and green, mingling with finger paints inside the laundry room sink

A tsunami breaking on a beach
As we eat a picnic in the sun
No riddles just a table for two...
