A Call to Ten Thousand Angels

My thoughts of death, look before me, as I ache for life, I toss, and turn over, all the midnight passion, all that I dare
Visions of winged spirits, are pulling onto my arms, lifting me up, white crimson gowns, with golden beads
It was after the last phone call, when I knew my future, when my soul prepared to leave, the voice of compassion
In a far away place, where I could read in silence, I would only feel love, and love, would surround a roman mansion
The gardens will be filled with peach roses, and lavender, their would be cello's, and viola's, the instruments so tranquilÂ
Gifted speakers would be preaching, faith, and goodwill, tamed lions, and lambs fleece lay, beside, the king, warming, his tender draped feetÂ
My surgery is today, six of my teeth will be removed, a test for a cure, the lymph's are swollen, though the chemo is done
The pain is deeper, it has now filled my heart, in my brain, though I am listening, to the ten thousand angels, on the line
The orchestra, of a shrine, the greatness of believing, to kiss my hands, to lead me the way, the softness of a new pillow
Calming, my voice quivers, as I hang up the phone, the doctor said, the time has come, in a far away place, I will now find my home
To fly across the mountain side, to be free, from the hurt, from the cancer, to hold the memories of desire, our eyes will smile eternal     Â
As a call to ten thousand angels, awaiting my arrival, I pray, just hold on, I'll be there, until the last song, is sung      Â
