Poem -

Abandoned

Nothing but silence
Her mind is lonelyΒ
A shadow of the life that filled these floors
The beams are cracking because of the rainΒ
Her tears are always fallingΒ
Everyone leaves one way or another
No one ever stays
Dust gathers across the walls
Wallpaper of neglect with spiderwebsΒ
Decorate her soul
The only life left in the darkest placeΒ
Windows are there but hold no light
A multitude of cracks across them
and in her smile
Like an old factoryΒ
She has been abandoned
For quite a while.
