Absence
There’s a small moment of time
between two people who care for each other
Time opens up their space
causing distance
leaving one lonely.
loneliness
a delicate flower in a field of weeds
growing with no one to tend to it
making its way in and out of everyone’s lives
even those who seem happy
are lonely
because the loneliest people
