Bang Goes Hope

Bang Goes Hope

Whoops there goes divinity
Disappearing in a whirl
One hundred years of solitude
For a single freshwater pearl

Crikey there went reason
Who had no time to stay
Traded in its platform boots
For twenty eight days holiday

Blimey there goes clarity
In a flood of tears again
No reflection in the mirror
Only shadows that remain

Gosh here comes futility
Now that we are meretricious
Come see our hall of mirrors now
Divine, decadent, delicious.

I am loving the satirical edge running through this and the metre is punchy enough to make it rhythmical and pacey. Nice work indeed bad Rhymes! Β
