Birds and the bees

BIRDS AND BEES
The ice cream had melted
as it fell in his lap
his mother just tutted
and gave him a slap.
A daily occurrence
to be hit on the head
a terrible childhood
he wished he was dead.
A single mother
bringing him up on her own
didn't give her the right
to continuously moan.
Always took everything
out on him
he always had bruises
on every limb.
She made his a slave
had to do chores
she was a madame
to a full house of whores.
Everyday life wasn't
how it should be
He saw things daily
that no child should see.
Different men visit
everyday
are you my dad
he would always say.
The men always looked
and laughed out loud
maybe one day
your dad will be found.
Fed of punters
smelling of rum
he wished and he prayed
for salvation to come.

A few years later
at the age of twenty two
a new girl had started
she didn't have a clue.
Chose by the madame
to satisfy men
lured off the streets
into the sex den.
At only sixteen
she was still innocent
for a life of sex slave
wasn't her intent.
The son fell in love
with this innocent soul
and for his and her freedom
was his ultimate goal.
Night after night
she endured constant rape
as months went past
as he planned their escape.
He loved her so
a plan he would weave
she felt the same
and wanted to leave.
The very next night
as darkness fell
she went to her room
said she was feeling unwell.
Madame believed her
and sent her upstairs
thought nothing of it
no worries no cares.
She didn't know
their cunning plan
as they climbed down the drainpipe
into the darkness they ran.
They were free and safe
and made their own life
now happily married
as husband and wife.
A new life together
to do as they please
had their own rules
for the birds and the bees.
