The Blood of the Claws

The sun slowly disappears, it fades into a mist of wonder
I hunger for the blood of a forbidden dawn, my lips want to drink from the river
And splash the coolness across my face, down my neck, into my lungs
I shall feel the claws of the bat, as I hear them in the caves, cold and crowded
Longing to become one, with the Dracula of darkness, with the master of death
My heart bleeds for his tongue, for his lust of breath, that will call my name
I shall hear the thunder of mountains, the whisper in the wind, it shall scream
As I am drug into the tomb of death, I shall become his queen, and we shall eat
The flesh of the rabbit, and share the taste of danger, with every shutter, I am in love
With a beast, that will never die, and I shall be by his side, a mistress of evil
Let me feel the cut, and I shall fly away into the shadowed moon, with my blood fed lover

Honorable Poetess Nancy,
Excellent theme well depicted with the symbolic elements of a dark poetry, my applause, I love the end part much
