Bronze Moments

The mimes on the streets of New York, they act, they play, it is the moment
Billards filled with people, gambling, dancing, dining in the times
The ocean waves, they bring in the breeze, the wind calls to the seagulls
Sails in the distance, the ships at shore, the boardwalk, with many tourists
Walking and talking, seeing the sites, radiant sun, the sand thrills my heels
As the seashells fill my bucket, I build sand castles, and find a starfish, I name him Tim
What glorious times, a childhood dream, of memories, vacations, traveling, and things
The airport filled with people on the go, the plane amazed by the glorious clouds in the sky
The zoo filled with exotic animals, all kinds, the elephant, his trunk he holds high
The zebra, with stripes, of white and black, just like the world connected in life
The bronze moments of my life. the happy times, the sad times, it really does not matter
What matters is, I have experienced it, and I am still living it, at ninety-five
Bronze moments, and I it did not even happen in the Olympics, but just in ordinary life
