Buckwheat Flowers Blooming
The autumn sky is clean and air is crisp. Looking upward
In a bay of overwhelming terraces
Butterflies are one after another, buckwheat flowers flourishing
And swarms of bees humming among the flowers
Bees and butterflies make the sea of flowers
Nature gives it the endless fragrance
If you want to take a nap in the afternoon, go to the flowers
Lie on your back, and let your small partners call you a great many times
Yet can not find you, then you just do your immortal sweet dreams
At the moment, if the time were back
I would take my poetry at the bottom of my heart
Start in an early morning of September
Go back to the depths of flowers, with butterflies flying
Bees humming and buckwheat fragrance bathing
My father says it’s been returning farmlands to forests
In the buckwheat flowers blooming season it’s a sea of boundless woodlands
After the soughing of the wind in the pine trees, a stream of rosin hit
Looking upward, on mountain tops it’s mist-shrouded

You overseas readers have different visual angle of poetry and I am so nice to get your coments like this Mark!
Chinese poets may think different that they think this poem is so naive but i think i just write something so nice in my mind and one of English professor and the well-known American translator, Denis Mair,love this poem so much too. Denis Mair is so well-known in China.
I will show his words and my words here:
Denis Mair(梅丹理):
Hooray for buckwheat- it is a good, wholesome food crop! When I travelled to Xichang, Sichuan in August I enjoyed buckwheat muffins. You are lucky to have seen and smelled its flowers. I only enjoy it as food, but I never saw it in flower.. .

Sophy Chen(苏菲):
My great poet and translator Denis Mair,
It's really a good, wholesome food crop, but it grows in deep mountains. My hometown is located in big mountains. When i was a little girl i could enjoy its beautiful flowers in every fall and had its food in noodles. My mother can cook it so well. If one day we met in China i can cook it for you and it's tasted so well and also good for health.

This August I went to Luojishan Township (螺髻山镇) near Xichang in Sichuan, where I had lunch at a Farmers' Courtyard Restaurant. I thought I'd see buckwheat growing nearby, but we STiLL weren't high enough to see it. Now I know your roots are REALLY in the mountains.That's a nice picture of buckwheat. I look forward to trying buckwheat noodles.

Dear Denis,
Thanks for words!
I'm sure when you see buckwheat flowers in deep mountains you will write a nice poem and will never forget its beauty. In China, ordinary farmers do not plant it because it can not be planted in fertile soil and it needs to be planted at top of mountains nearly. Based on my experince in China I think you can not see its flowers in the countryside towns.
