'CATHARSIS'
Catharsis had a heart of gold
The problem was she never told
How to let go of the weight of the world.
A true empath by every means
Felt every emotion since her early teens
And not just hers but whomever she met
In a crowded room she begins to sweat.
The intensity of taking on thoughts of others
Makes Catharsis run and hide for cover
As she generates anxious energy
This places her into purgatory.
If only she had a cathartic heart
She could separate and take apart
The parts that bind her mind and start
To concentrate on her poems and art.
Alas she abandoned her family and friends
For she needed some time to repair and mend
The maze in her mind so that she could defend
And retreat from defeat with no one to tend.
And this poem is how Catharsis came
To reach a conclusion within her calmed brain
And this was how she became to explain
To write a poem eased her panic and pain.
