Childish

Childish

“You are childish!”

With the sweetest of smile

I replied “thank you.”

“You see, everyone is in such a rush to be a grownup,

I’d rather stay a child.

I’ll look and smile with everyone with my beady eyes

instead of giving nasty looks, gossiping, lying and cheating.

I will see no color,

no race and appreciate things that grownups are too busy to stop

and appreciate.

At this rate,

I think the world needs some childlike eyes.

We will appreciate our parents again

We will offer love first

And we will be willing to learn

Instead of being selfish and closed minded.”

“So never mind me, my honesty, my simplicity and my smiles

Be safe, stay sweet, until next time, goodbye.”
