Poem -

Children

Who knows where monsters dwell?
On the far side of hell?
No,no,I hear them upstairs
Beating the child, seems like nobody cares
There were two and now one
Where do they get these children from?
Be they from kin or sin
Please help these beautiful ones
Please stop the keening
Stop the running and the screaming
They haunt our lives, hearts broken and outraged
Two evil ones answer the door
Say it was music and no more
They have hidden the kids elsewhere
Not enough resources we are told
To search the building,horribly cold
Its quiet now,no wailing,screaming
No little footsteps being chased
The monsters packed up their treasure and left.
