Daffodil dreams

Daffodil dreams

Daffodil dreams
Sail on silvery streams
Slumber sweet little one
Life has just begun

Time will ware
On callow brows fair
Autumn draws near
Slaying youth my dear

Hush now little star
Drift on festoon afar
Adhere tranquil bliss
Innocence ne'er remiss

Ne’er rush buoyant ride
Awash on changing tide
Sleep now, meekly mild
Mortality stalks, my child
