Darker side

I feel my old self coming back. She's fucked up and mad and I know you'll like her. She's art and pain and she'll make you worship sunsets while she jabs knives into the back of her skull. She'll paint your world in colour while hers drips in black. She'll ache in the heartbeat of nights gone too late and she'll wake again before the world blinks it's bleary eyes into the sun. She'll write poems on the back of her hands and smudge them into the sand. She's slipping, slipping into a place of fire again. She loves it, she's addicted and she'll drown before she remembers to swim.
