Disaster falling

Silently, she shouted
Without evidence, she proved
With surety, she questioned
Sedentary, she moved
Â
Argumentative, she agreed
Articulate, on page she wrote
Expeditious, she’s caught standing still
With wisdom, she’d devote
Â
With right of passage, she went home
Ignorant of what she knew
With quality, quantity was lost
Red when young, she turned to blue
Â
Imprisonment had set her free
Time off had seen her work be done
Defeatist, she was sure to win
Dawdle, stroll, prefer to run
Â
In bed sick, she jumped for joy
Depression brought her happiness
Belief had left her unbeknown
Devout non-believer, she’d confessed
Â
To view the scene, a blindness wrought
To learn, the ignorant had strayed
To wait to prove her patience lost
To rug, so warm, on summer’s day
Â
To run, stark naked, in the frost
To feel and think – a deeper test
To know the world’s in disarray
To laugh out loud, but not in jest
Â
To worry, softly, is this the day
When routine’s disorganised?
Her senses feel oblivious
Has disaster come to greet her yet?
