Split down the middle
Fine line between love and hate
A violin or a fiddle 

Hate sneaks in as we stare through the lens
Us being our own photographers 
Trying to be perfect for strangers we call friends 

Looking for perfection
Where do they look
At people paying millions for surgery, not anything from a book

Every little detail, tilt your head and pout
Yes you are pretty 
I don’t think your happy without a doubt

Yes, look who has just gave me a thumbs up
Breathe in again, filter on 
It’s life now, it’s on the up

What is real? What is fake?
The icing may look delicious but it’s what’s inside the cake 
I’m not judging just want people to shine
For what’s inside your heart and soul, will never die
