Elephant in the room

Elephant in the room

I need to get something off of my chest
Something I need to lay to rest
I do not believe in your gods or religions
I have come to the conclusion
That it's all an illusion
But I don't know for sure
And I need more proof to concur
I have researched it thoroughly through out all my life
Crawled through the dark and walked in the light
And I am in no way telling you what's wrong or right
I just choose not to believe in something I can't see or feel
I spend more time wishing superheroes were real
And I know that's not based in reality
It would just be a nice break from the insanity
I love you all , just don't try to save me
If you care for me
Just honor and respect me
Because trying to force me to believe something I don't
I will turn around and just be like nope
This is not to try and change any minds
Just letting you know I am fine
I am a good person and I do right by others
And I am here for my sisters and brothers
This is just to air out the gloom
And draw attention to the elephant in the room
I will talk about it if you ask
Just don't expect me to wear a mask
Just wanted to come clean
And finally be out with it
I only hope those who read my work don't quit
Because I don't judge your work based on your beliefs and religious duty
I read to try and understand and be in awe of its beautyΒ

Hello Luke...

I can understand and respect that...

Maybe, Β you will find the answer for yourself in a gentle way...

Some people require a major accident before they believe...

If they live through it...

Best wishes my friend!Β

Hugs...

to each their own. we all have our beliefs and understandings about a higher being. as long as you are a good person, you are going somewhere better when you pass away. I don't believe in a Christian God, there is just too many things wrong about that being. I believe in being a kind person. that makes me feel like I will find something better after I am gone. wonderful write!

Hey LUKE!!..... isn't it strange ......that no matter what room you seem to find yourself in.... there's always some giant Pachyderm hanging around...... because their memory is so much longer than the average "Joe"........you find yourself in the same old quandary .........Politics and religion suck!!....... when it comes to making friends and influencing people!!........ some shrink always has a grandfather whose parable's go back further thon yōûr own...... and you are left to clean up all the poop on the circus grounds..... hey, in my opinion....... this was a VERY estimable piece bro!!..... and I do apologize for not being around lately to support your stuff...... my "Surface Pro" flaked out on me.... and I had to have a spinal cord operation......... but I'm cool now...... and I'm one of your fans....... ttyl bro........ peace......T xo
