Forests and Pardon

Her mind wanders,
Her thoughts echo through their mountains,
The forests in her head whisper about him
As she pleads for the storm to pass,
Praying it will stop.
Her heart bleeds his words out on to the carpet,
“I Love you”
She watches as her soul leaves her being, searching for him,
Crying out for his sad blue eyes and his soft blonde hair,
Alas, the rivers in her body torment her.
They want him just the same.
It’s the perpetual pulling and pushing, the tyrannous current he pulls her into
Its breaking her,
Yet she cannot rest her eyes without crying his name,
She cannot blame the forests, nor the rivers in her for drawing near to his source,
As she, she wants him all the same.
She begged for his love,
He rejected her,
She pleaded for his pardon,
He sentenced her.
She prayed for his kindness,
He killed her.
