Poem -

Hollow Heart

I stood silently
The storm raged on.

All I could see  was your silhouette
Your voice only a distant echo.
The blood dripped from my fingers
Washed away in the rain.
The tears blurred your eyes
And I screamed out at your pain.
You were broken darling

Battered from the turbulence
Drowning in the rivers flooding you.
I tried to pick up your pieces
As much as I could to fill your empty heart.
The cracks wouldn’t allow it

Instead, I cut myself on your broken shards.
