Gasping For Air

Gasping For Air

My lungs are weak, I can hardly breathe, I gasp for air

My disease taking control, the oxygen tank keeps refilling

My sins, I can not take away, the darkness takes my soul, the devil's share

But my life is diminishing, I am fading, my breath is lessoning

My body is withering, though my mind is clear, my eyes are not bright with flare

They now cloud and fill up with tears of the unknown, depressed and anxious, awaiting

For death to come to my feet, and look upon me, as my life is passing

Gasping for air
