Go Ahead
Go ahead smile, laugh and play.
Your lips whisper,"I'm fine" but your mind
Screams differently.
You tell everyone you have a plan, but really just take it one step at a time.
Say you believe in fate yet still look both sides when crossing the street.
Sticks and stones might break your bones, but words kill you.
Strong and independent appearance yet fragile and insecure thoughts.
You say I'm wrong but know I'm not. Don't worry though,
Go on and feed society your lies, maybe this time you'll believe it yourself.
So go ahead smile, laugh and play...

I feel it's kind of a personal victory when you finally see through someones mask.

Great write, and a perfect reminder for all those including myself whom from time to time forget their truth behind the false masks we keep creating on daily bases for the fear of being venerable and judged.
The only fool is I, for I hide inside my mask, suffocating and blue.Â
