Good Intentions

And I laughed with such fury
The pain,on the brink
How can you say I am this?
I'm not and I can't defend myself
Lest I be judged to be just that
Protest too much,blah blah
You have all the aces
So I'll be quiet and bide my time
Time is on my side if I'll just be patient
And the true picture will appear
And I will not gloat,I will not cheer
And I have to return and pick up my heart
And how did this mess happen?
Happy and kind was my idea
And the old saying is true
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
