Life of the Exiled Bedouin

I wonder across this Sun-Stricken Land,
Cursing at my home, the world of sand,
thrown out by my kin to be alone,
until the desert claims my bones.
Water nowhere, not a drip in sight,
I might be dead by dawn's first light.
A hope, I think, there might still be ,
to amend my family.
But no deed could cleanse my soul,
of my brother, burned in coal.
Night comes swiftly, day is long,
no birds sing here, to grace with song.
I lay down to rest my head,
by the morn, I lay there dead.

Hey DMITRI!!...... you choose such interesting subject matter....... so this is a lyric?.....I know that in the Bedouin system of justice they don't use incarceration.... and being banished to the desert for justice is a practice........ reminds a bit of the poem "The Deserts Of Exile" by Jabra Ibrahim Jabra......... but I could be off base here as you directed this toward a song....... regardless, a VERY compelling write my friend.......ALL STARS....... well done.......T xo

wow I've found a kindred spirit in the rhyme writing style. love your work
Hi Dimitri. Always an interesting write, the fear of drying out in the desert and the suffering that goes with it along the way. I was curious with the beginning line did you wonder or did you mean to say wander. I could see being exiled into the desert a fear to so many. Cool write. Peace.
Congratulations Dimitri! Its A wonderful poem! I Wish you the best of luck :D Once again Congratulations!Β
