Poem -

Healer

I slipped,
from the eyes,
into the shadows,
of my shadowy world,
slipping further by the day,
I cried for help,
voice echoing,
off empty rooms,
and deserted dreams,
shrinking into myself I called,
not for hope,
or light,
or love,
but for an ending.
Too afraid to make my own,
I called for it,
but my voice,
heard,
and recognised,
was given a hope,
a hand to reach out to me,
I cowered,
I didn't not reach back,
but he stayed,
luring me out of the shadows once more,
he seemed to care,
and listen.
to fight for me to hear him.
He told me,
all the scars he holds on his heart,
as he touched mine so delicately,
he wound bandages round my bleeding heart,
lifted me from the circle of defiled earth,
that I held my view too,
and showed me,
without a doubt,
a world and it's all it's souls,
that are healing,
like he is.
