Hearts Drum Beat

Hearts Drum Beat

Pounding, like the drum, leather hide stretched, across my soul

My heart like the wild antelope, it beats with the longing, to survive

It breeds with its mate, long road ahead, they will follow, the sun will lead

The moon will call out, and the night will draw in, the native song will sooth the soul

The hearts drum beat, like the man, it can not live, without the breath of his squaw
