Hunter’s Love

The feel of the wind as the mane of the horse dances with it
High into the mountains I see below me rolling hills of green
Valleys filled with foliage fields of corn and beans we seeded
Nature surrounds us with spiritual grace and we are thankful
A wild turkey will be our feast for the evening and a couple of rabbits over a fire pit
The native man a true hunter finds his love finds his passion
Knows the kill of sacrifice is a gracious thing for the survival
Of our Cherokee Nation as the drums beat with our heart beats
Pounding to the music of the crackling earth
