I am Anxiety
I am the weight you carry
Blind to the eye
I am the weight you lose
I make You want to cry
I am that negative thought
That turns every good to bad
I am your anger
I always make you mad
I am the trembler
Who rattles through your bones
I am always in your head
I make you feel alone
I am the heartbeat
That skips too many beats
I am the illness
That shuts you off for weeks
I effect everybody different
They call me anxiety
I am an illness
Taking over mind , soul & body

Thank you very much Tony for your positive comment. This thread has really gave me the oomf to keep writing and publishing on Cosmo. I normally keep all my writes to myself as it’s normally nonsense that just pops into my head but this one was a personal one and I felt it was such a great write that many can relate to so I had to publish. Thanks so much for your very positive comment. I have wrote poetry since I was a little girl and this one seemed to just write so quickly , I think been one of my very few personal experiences I’ve wrote about it wrote more naturally. Majority of my poems are about other people’s life experiences or just gibberish lol x

When I write about myself I seem to write differently which I love. This is one poem I am proud of knowing it’s personal to me and I feel it just flowed when I wrote it. Thanks for you comment. Would love to read yours!
