Poem -

I Don't

I Don't

I don't love the way you lieĀ
Or like the way this burnsĀ
I don't want to watch love dieĀ
But everyday your perspective turns Ā

I won't keep your shirt because it holds your smellĀ
Or check with your friends to see if you're wellĀ
I don't hope to find a love that's just the sameĀ
That leaves just as quick as it cameĀ

I don't wish that you'll come drop to my feetĀ
Saying you cannot surviveĀ
Walk away, you have your own two feetĀ
You, on your own can stay aliveĀ

I won't write you endless love songsĀ
Or stay up all night longĀ
I won't crawl back to youĀ
Or do all the things they say I should doĀ

I will not cry for yearsĀ
And drive pointlessly for hoursĀ
Wearing my cars gearsĀ

I shall simply move alongĀ
I know the differenceĀ
Between right and wrongĀ
My senses were gone, for Ā
You made the air heavy, and the fog denseĀ

The passion and lust you exhibited was tenseĀ
