I Lost You

I Lost You

He was the only one who could make me laugh and smile
He made everything seem so worthwhile
He was my whole heart and my soul,
When I was with him I no longer felt lost
I felt whole

I remember every memory, every touch
It hurts because I miss him so much
He always had a cure
Around him was when I felt secure

When he left I lost all hope
He just went, he cut the rope
He left me picking up the pieces of my broken heart of the floor
What we once had isn’t there anymore

I’ll hold onto every memory
As long as they may last
To gain happiness
I have to learn every life lesson from the past

I know I’m not okay, but I’m having to pretend
But deep down I knew
One day we would come to an end

                                           I lost you.
