Poem -

I Shall Caress The Earth

As the wind blows in the valley of death
Where many lay beneath the rock and clay
My love for life has not ended and it lives above this burial ground
The songs continue to be heard,  with drums beat the dance I feel below my feet
The tribal ritual of the spirit of eternity caresses my soul
As I caress the earth with its beauty, it shall tell the story
Of a young brave and a young Cherokee girl who fell in love
And some day the new world will read this story written in the spirits sky
The blue hue of bloods passion, gasping for air
As the daggers deep scars feel the pain, feeling the death of those who passed
The lovers cript inside a tomb of stones stacked
To believe in the magic of the earths promise
Never give in, never turn away from mankind
Never to die but to live again and to tell the story of those who carressed this land
