If only I could get that chance to just go back and start again,
I would be a better listener id be a better friend.
If I could go back to the times my smile was real,
to erase speeding up the healing process, and just let the old scars heal.
If I could go back id be obedient and listen to your every word,
I’d take the good with the bad and endure every lesson learned.
If I could go back I’d paint this image better,
Id add more radiant colors of armor, so I could take on this stormy weather.
If I could go back and sit and watch the sun rise,
I’d be more appreciative of life and wouldn’t always question why.
If I could get a second chance to correct all my mistakes,
To prevent all this pain from happening and make it all just go away.
I tried to always do what was right, to always help who I could,
So busy doing things my own way, not always doing what I should.
Nobody deserves to be punished for an unintentional mistake,
for trying to see the good in someone, who just somehow lost their way.
If I could go back and just reverse the times,
I’d sit on the beach and just watch the sun beam down and shine.
Watch the rainbows across the sky,
Swing high and pretend I can fly.
If only in reality we could dream, and it’d somehow come true,
To change the outcome, and always do right by you.
Lord forgive me for all the things I’ve done to get me to where I am,
Help me, fix my broken wings so I can soar again.
I know I can never change the past, nor ever make it right,
But I pray you don’t give up on me and won’t let me loose this fight
