Poem -

Jane Eyre Eyes

There is fire within your ice
There is a haunting beauty in your smile
I see your Jane Eyre gaze
As it watches the moonlit rain
If I am a wanderer at heart
Why do you try to keep me here?
Do you not see my tattered soul?
Within your lovely eyes
I am contained there
Brought to life here
Set afire and yet thrown away
I cannot forgive the way I feel
I am betrayed by my own self
You are the keeper of my pain
I am the wraith so afraidĀ
Why do you make me want to hide
To avoid living this hot passion?
I am set on being a relic
I am so against a happy ending
come be with me tonight
Let the rain be our conversation
For just this time
Let us not be afraid
To love
