Just Here To Express Myself!
Im not here to attention seek
just here to mention words i speak
writin for the site to have a peak
no comments no stars will make me weak
i know my poetry doesnt go unoticed
i know someone will read after i wrote this
im not on here to get rated
my works creative not botherd if its hated
I just let words fly free like a dove
If the views go up then thanks for the love
I can write something quick
but i also have to work in order to live
sorry if you think im ignorant
Or i dont like or comment in an instant
I work have a partner and a baby to look after
these are my number one things that truly matter
i come here just too express dont forget
poetry is my hobby its not a full time job just yet

I'm here to get feedback--constructive critique--to help me improve and hone my beloved craft of poetry and prose writing.
I'm sure you're here for many of the same reasons as well.
You're right -- the stars, the votes -- none of that truly matters in the end.
What does matter is that we're able in some way to enrich the lives of those who care enough to read our work while enriching our own lives by reading the work of others.

Its not aimed or glorified at anyone dont get paranoid, i do get inspired when i get chance to read other peoples poetry an they do get comments an likes of me, if someone does comment an like my work then i appreciate it if they dont then it dont bother me, im not constantly on here to see whats going on for that, just here to share like everyone else, i pop on & off im not sat on here all day watching whats going on, its a poetry site not a political debating site were we argue who gets the best ratings, we post our thoughts an feelings hoping to catch peoples imaginations and if we do then so be it give yourself a pat on the back, ive got love for evey poet on here, i just do my thing im not here too get pissed off at the fact that no one has liked or commented my poetry theres bigger problems in the real world im more worried about, besides its just a poetry site people are either gonna like it or not its not a big problem, dont let small things get too you so much just keep doing what ya do if people connect to you work they connect they cant be forced too ??

I think if people want Fame and Money, they should go for that...
If they want to be patronized and babied, I think they do receive it and they want more...
There's Poets and people who I had much respect for but, in time I realized they changed to please others or they try to be like someone else...
I believe they do receive the attention they want...
I'm not going against myself, and people aren't going to waste their time in something they don't believe in or it's not of interest...
An example...
If someone doesn't like a certain Sport, it's their choice to spend hours watching it to please someone else, otherwise they wouldn't watch it...
I'm not going to buy a Book that I wouldn't be interested in...
The Authors have the Audience in mind, it's in the Marketing...

Cos thats what i am on here for, just to express myself like every other poet theres no arguement here, wouldnt even care if there was or wasnt a voting system this is a site to vent out so im here to vent out just like you & everyone else, it aint about picking sides either everyone is there own person but we all have one thing in common an thats poetry, an what youve stated out heres my answer, if its hated so what if its not rated so what, but atleast i know its creative dont over speculate i enter contest entries just like you do to maybe move up in the world an get something out from what we give, an thats what we express, we express feelings etc through poetry ?
i feel you sparrowsong were all learners on here hoping to get somewhere with our work if people like it then fair enough if people dont then what can we do, nothing except work harder instead ??
Well you aksed about the title then about getting rated then my insecurities dplank were all here to express feelings and emotions an what not, not argue over some comment an like stuff, also about contest entries you do enter them too dont you.? Yes i enter but if i dont win it doesnt mean am gonna cry over not getting enough votes like comments whatever....
Metophorically speaking "not gonna cry" i mean i wont be emotional over it
