For Just a Smile

A birth of a child, the beauty of life, we can hold it in our hands
But only for a short time, how precious are the smallest things
How easy we take for granite, every breath we breathe, every step we take
The richness of the world is not only made of silver or gold, it is the giving
The sharing in times of woe, in times of difficulty, in times of sickness
A smile from one another, is the best gift we can receive, it isn't just painted on a mural
It is given to make the world a better place, just for short time, or maybe a life tine
Let us take this giving pot, and pass it down to those we may not know, but the child
Inside our hearts, will find that humble moment, as we share, we might just make a difference
To one small child, to two, or three, the young, the sick, the most innocent, lets give for just a smile
As we take each breath, and take one more step, and appreciate, we can send these thoughts
A million miles away, as it is painted on the wall, it is etched within our hearts
The image is a mural painted on a restaurant wall, and the pots on the wall have names of those who contributed to this giving donation, to the children at the Children's Hospital in Peoria, Illinois, 102 gifts were distributed. A Special thanks to all of those that contributed.
