Let me be your friend
I want to be there for you when no one is there
I want to really care when no one seems to care
Let me be by the road waiting when you're weary from traveling
Let me look out for you when you feel your world is crumbling
Trust me to be there when your heart is wounded and disillusioned
When it feels as if you've been used and abandoned
Let me nourish and encourage you
I may not be able to “fix” the problems for you
I may not be able to change the circumstance
But a listening ear can really make a difference
I want to be there for you at all times
That's what a true friend does
Let me be your friend….
