She's just a lonely girl,
Living in a heartless world
Wondering when things went wrong
Wondering if she'll ever belong.
Her parents upped and left her,
Her life is becoming one big blur
Why does sadness continue to occur?
She packed her bags and left that mess
When did she become so upset?
She's lost her friends, and they won't return
When will she ever learn?
People are not what they seem,
I suppose that's the same with almost everything
People wear that smile,
To hide the things that keep them up at night a while.
When will she ever learn,
That people can easily turn.
When will she understand
That people are all out for only them
Well now she has ran away,
To some new place where she will stay.
And she's just a lonely girl,
Living in a heartless world.

Community brings warmth and solitude brings clarity. Being alone is not the worst thing in the world when you learn to enjoy your own company - part of the process of the teen years. Some never learn to love themselves or their own company. I use to hate being by myself - but today I enjoy my own company so much, I have to be careful not to isolate.
Grieving work and feeling feelings and living in the moment is essential to staying centered. Your pieces captures the angst of broken relationships.
Hey, James. Thanks for the comment. The things you have written are very true. I suppose I am more prone to writing about the depressing side of this beautiful/cruel world.
