Love, Like The Rain

I was only sixteen, we met on the tennis court, our eyes locked in the distance
First love, the first real kiss, the first intimate love, making me crazy
The smell of his cologne, the name of our favorite song, just laughter in the rain
Soak and wet, under that tree, we were going to break-up after jealous arguments
Just young love, more than puppy love, someone I will never forget, we fell, like the rain
Hard, wet, mad, and crazy, we couldn't stop, it just kept pouring, then lightening struck
And we fell even deeper, like the rain it saturates, it moistens, and nourishes, we felt alive
To live, to love, I will never forget, this first encounter with my love of my life
Like the rain, love, it never stops giving

A Romantic verse from a versatile Poetess. Beautiful and elegant. Thanks for posting and sharing  I love to read the below lines:
" Soak and wet, under that tree, we were going to break-up after jealous arguments
Just young love, more than puppy love, someone I will never forget, we fell like the rain "
Between the lines: Poets and authors have tried to define love for centuries, but none had ever came to a conclusion what makes you to involve in love. Many of us know intuitively that love is a major purpose for living; that connection is inherent in all that we do, and without love, we cannot survive as a species.
When it comes to true love, commitment is more than just monogamy. It's the knowledge that your partner cares for you and has your back, no matter what the circumstances. People who are strongly committed to one another will, when faced with seemingly negative information about their partner, see only the positive.Â
