MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE
I place my message within this bottle
There is but only one
A simple wish
Placed amongst the fish
Floating beneath the sun
I then return to my towel on the sand
Lie back and dream
Of where my bottle may land.......??
Will all my notions
Be sent across oceans
Carrying my dreams
Through rivers and streams
My thoughts
Are then caught
At the docks and seaports
Then all my desires
Travel upon tyres
Surely my message will shortly transpire?
But then far from the sun
Alas I see rain...
Then my words board the train
As cargo...
Transferred by crane...
Just as i think my message...a fail
My bottle...my message
The new 'Holy Grail'!
Through rain...hail
....wind or snow...
A whistle then blows...
All aboard the monorail!
I know what my message would really like
Its final journey upon a fast motorbike...
The stories my bottled note could share
But firstly..I guess it still has to get there?
But where and when?
And how and why?
(Sigh.....)
Then I stir from my sleep
On the same sandy beach
Rubbing my eyes
I then soon realize
To my surprise
My message in the bottle
Never left these tides....
