MOTHER'S KISS

MOTHER'S KISS

Just yesterday my mum told me...more of my cheeky ways

Apparently, when I was three, this happened...or so she says

One afternoon she was ironing clothes...then she left the room...

Lucky she came back when she did for I was facing doom!

I managed to climb over chairs and reach the ironing board...

Then put my hand flat on that iron, guess I was bored

For being ignored? No matter what I must have roared!

For she came running back to find her daughter's hand aflame

I then tell her.."Mum, it's ok...I don't recall the pain?"

So I question "Is there an age we decide..."I'll remember this?"

Or forgotten memories of pain healed by a mother's kiss...

I then try to recollect event's I may have missed

My mum then reassures me..."This healing method still exists!"

We tend to forget the amount of pain though the hurt we can remember. Mom always has a way of making things all better! Good job, Anthony
