Mr. Jones

Mr. Jones

There's pills and drugs and alcohol
All across the world they ship it off
But what could erase a love so deep?

In the hospital bed the patient lays
Hanging on the rail for his dear life
Pacemaker helps his sick heart
But who could fix what's torn apart Inside.

His wife of 50 years just died
He longs to hold her one last time.

If only morphine could help  a  hurting heart
Mr jones wouldn't feel so in the dark  He's sat alone by the coffee table
Every morning that  he's been able

But everything bout that old house
Has him sitting quiet as a mouse
You'll hear him cry at night he says
"She's been gone for way too long, living life just feels wrong"

Mr jones sat quiet lookin to the  lake, He's got one last memory he wants to make.
He watched his babies splash and play
The slowly took his own dear life away.

The doctors say there's nothing they can do
So his son took off to tell the news.
" I hate to say and they hated to hear that their grandpa won't be there."
Mr jones left a legacy for all to know
A love can truly glow.

There's two young teens who fell in love
Swearing it's sent from heaven above. They fell, and fell  into the love they knew was true.

Till one day came it wasn't a breeze
Then things just weren't the same.
They sat alone in a room cold dark room
 Ignoring  each other
 Till  the evening news.
  Mr jones's story aired
Reporter  said its a story that  never compared"

He held her close just to hold her tight, just as if it was their last night.

How Much You (Honestly)...

How Much You (Honestly) Still Mean To Me

And I always say the wrong thing
Out of anger or out of spite
In the end it doesn't matter...
