My Candle Light

In a maddening shattering storm my candle still burns
In the deepest dark you light and I can see
In a massive hurricane plunging rain in sheets still in darkness yet I can see
You give me hope you give me faith you give me strength and prayer
Broken windows flooded streets yet your guiding light still I see
 Your borrowed raincoat on me hangs down to my drenched feet
You may not be home but you are near for you are my candle
My apple scent of loves taste in you I have faith 
Together we shall see tomorrow in a different way
Rescuers on site we shall survive for you are my fate
my candle never to burn out
As I am in a boat floating in the night I see your light in a window frame
My true flame that keeps me safe
My candle that you gave
to me
