My Crocodile boots

One day at my favourite haunt,
I met a guy wearing boots he did flaunt,
Crocodile boots these were,
Jealous of them I asked if he was sure,
Confirmed he did say, I shot him myself,
I now wear his boots itself,
Off I went to purchase a rifle,
To get me a crocodile how delightful,
To wear his boots to show off,
To every person and scoff,
On my hunting trip I went,
In my truck over our local border I was sent,
By the river I was lay,
Awaiting night and day,
For my moment to get me a crocodile,
In the bushes, camouflaged in style,
Finally my croc appeared,
I cocked my rifle and quietly cheered,
I fired and breathed a sigh of relief,
Off I ran to collect my victim like a thief,
I turned him over and to my dismay,
No crocodile boots were worn by my prey.
