No one is a mind reader

No one is a mind reader

The sadness,
The tears,
And the lies,
That “you were okay”,
Always “just tired”,
And even though,
You lied with a smile,
It still broke your heart,
When no one would dial,
It seemed as if,
No one cared,
That they all knew your sadness,
But just left you there.

In reality,
No one knew,
They all thought,
That you were fine,
That the abuse didn’t exist,
That you never lied,
They always thought,
When they looked at you,
That you are perfect,
I mean,
Look at you!

I suggest learning,
Every single day,
Setting boundaries,
Make one promise a day,
I guarantee you can make it,
I didn’t think I would,
Never give up,
And always hope for the good.
