Poem -

No You & I

I have wept and still I weep,
Overhead grey clouds pass by,
Wishing for eternal sleep
Now there is no you and I.

Alas all the fight has left me,
The spark gone from my eye,
A soul that walks bereft
Now there is no you and I.

How I hate my selfish tears,
Should acquiesce and let things be,
Surrender to my worst fears
Now there is no you and me.

To not know if I should carry hope,
Not know what I should do,
My poor old heart it cannot cope...
There was only ever you.
