Paper

Paper tigers roar in ink
yellow stains on black pages
charcoal eyes and pink paint nose
clawing streaks of obsidian dye
movement rough red crayon

Valerie Beasley...

Imogen!  Excellent write!  I "see" this most clearly as to so eloquently visualize a drawing of tigers roaring their yellow stripes staining the black page as they claw their movement in red.  A short but impacting write…excellent descriptive imagery!  5 stars from me!

Thank you so much, Valerie. I'm extremely new to this site and its wonderful to get good feedback so early- pumps me up for my next poem! I'm so glad you could visualise it... I'm trying to work on my descriptive techniques.

Thanks again,

Imogen.
