Passing Blindness

Such patient apprehension
All that's never going to be.
An overwhelming tension,
Unknown to those who don’t see.
Unnoticed what has been lost
Does she even seem to care?
Is her time the only cost
To ease bittersweet despair.
Passing by in much sadness
Forlorn, flowing many tears.
Despair soon turns to madness,
Brought on unfathomed fears.
Daily the same broken tune,
Endless waiting for much hope.
Morning till the rising moon,
So steadily down the slope.

Lovely write Lorna as always...enjoy reading your work....Thank you.
Thanks Lorris, glad you liked it :) x
This poem is fairly aching with such a sense of quiet melancholy and fruitless yearning.
With the subtle wave-pattern meter and imagery, you evoke the thoughts of someone lost in a personal limbo; and yet, there is still a tiny glimmer of hope. Even as she loses heart...there are flecks of it in the stars above her.
A masterful piece of melancholic writing!!

So many hours are spent in waiting of something..anything to make us feel alive. Sometimes we have to sit in that place and rest, heal before we are ready to take it all back on again. But that's where hope lives inside us all.. Deep and emotional.. xo
thanks Tracey, I really appreciate your comment

Exquisitely orchestrated piece, with flair, which provides so much insight and appreciation of deep seated emotion ( created by lifes influence on perception ).
You have a talent for putting complex scenarios into a richly rewarding structure that is simply moving.
Warmest wishes. xOx

Hi Lorna Just caught this one glad i did
This has a sad emotional feel to it, of her waiting and longing
for some one or something
On and on she waits, until it drives her mad (just my thoughts )
Great write!
Best wishes Debs xx
Thanks Debs, Yes she did feel like she was on the brink of insanity....after so much waiting ( that's exactly what I wanted to portray)
Thank you for your comments
