She Had Just Her T Shirt On

She Had Just Her T Shirt On

(This poem is dedicated to India, the young lady in the accompanying photographs, who was the inspiration for it:  The photographs shown were taken at the photo shoot).

She's a naturally beautiful young girl,
A friend, just twenty- one
And one morning in the summer sun
I photographed her at her home.

We thought:  I'd take the pictures
And post the pictures on the internet;
She would strike up poses;
How much interest would they get?

She welcomed me, said “Hello You”
Wearing pink knickers and a vest
And said “I’m going to have a shower now,
I want to look my very best.”

She has flowers in her garden
And plants of many kinds,
It has a kind of natural feel
Which brings on peace of mind.

When she came in from the shower
She had just a T shirt on.
She went to the large lounge window
And stood there in the sun.

She pulled her top down at the front
To preserve her modesty,
Showing her attractive face, her arms and legs
As she looked on demurely.

She has a thoughtful looking gaze
And alluring eyes I’d say.
I tried to capture this in her pose
As I photographed that day.

I took photos of her face and figure
As towards the blue sky she did look.
Dark hair upon her head; brown eyes:
Such photographs I took.

She had but just her T shirt on
And in the sun was glowing.
She posed twice looking over her shoulder
With her cute bare bottom showing.

When I'd finished taking photographs
We posted them online;
Then went out onto the patio
And each had a glass of wine.

We wandered round the garden
And put some birdseed out.
There were sparrows, daisies, dandelions-
Nature was all about.

I stayed with her in the summer sun
Till it was time for me to go.
She smiled and kissed me on the cheek
And whispered "I guess I'll see you soon."

She still had just her T shirt on,
Seeming relaxed and easy going.
She turned from me and strolled away,
Her bare bottom still showing.

I left her planting flowers
As a gentle breeze was blowing;
Her pretty face and deep brown eyes
In the summer sun still glowing.
