Pondering

Pondering

The moment you drive back home at night
Pondering Your life in the abstract darkness
Meaning and memory merge as one
The sharp sting of emotion and regret meld in silent repercussion
The casual cacophony of the car humming to your thoughts is so clear
Every single bit of joy and sadness wells to your eyes
Why did you do it? You could have changed your mind?
How did it happen?
You have always inquired.
